Through the Agricultural Sales event, students are able to prepare for career opportunities by participating in a wide range of sales activities that develop their interpersonal skills. Participants collaborate as a team to develop a pre-call plan for a variety of different customer types. Individual team members then utilize their skills in information gathering to sell a pre-selected product to one of the customer types. Members also have their knowledge of sales principles tested in the written exam.

The 2024 WAFFA Sales Product is. Beeline Beekeeping Supplies!
This year, our students will dive into the interesting and important apiary and bee management industry!
Please take a look at the PDF I've attached, which contains all the product information, links to product websites, and a list of local dealers in Washington selling these products.
Some may need clarification about the number of items on the list. We've broken the "starter kit" into individual items that can be sold independently, depending on the customer's needs. This created a long list but offers opportunities to sell products to more than just beginners seeking the whole kit.
We encourage teams to research the individual products further, Beeline's customer service policies, beekeeping basics, and the role of Washington pollinators. Many resources are available to learn about the industry, specifically in Washington State!
This year's written exam will be created using 20 questions from the National 2022, 2021, and 2019 tests; 3 questions will written from the Understanding Ag Sales: A Users Manual (attached below); and 2 questions will be about Beeline as a company.
