Sona assignment research article summary temple university

The UNLV Department of Psychology offers students in specified classes the opportunity to earn credit towards their course grade by participating in Psychology experiments or by completing summaries of research articles.

Students

For both experiment participation and article summaries, students must first register on SONA System. Download the Student Handout for an explanation of the procedure. For those choosing to do article summaries, download a copy of the Article Summary Form. The number of required credits is 6, up to 3 of which may be online, and at least 3 credits overall must be completed by the midsemester deadline.

Researchers

Researchers must be faculty members in the Department of Psychology at UNLV, post-docs working with a faculty member, or students supervised by a faculty member. Download the Researcher Handout for an explanation of the procedure for running a study.

Instructors

All PSY 101 students are required to participate in the subject pool. For all other psychology courses, instructors have the option to require credits or offer extra credit for student participation. Download the Instructor Handout for an explanation of the procedure.
